This fully funded degree will train you to become a Midwife, leading directly to a rewarding and highly-skilled career in the community, birth centre or hospital.

Midwifery is a highly rewarding career. At our excellent facilities, which provide realistic workplace simulations, you will learn to ensure a woman’s physical and emotional wellbeing during pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood. You will spend approximately half of your course on clinical placements, which will allow you to hone the practical skills you need to begin your career with confidence. You will also benefit from experience in our award-winning, on-site Health and Wellbeing Academy, which provides a range of antenatal, postnatal and breastfeeding support services for the local community. Applying for Midwifery When applying for this course, you should show that you understand the role of the midwife and demonstrate your knowledge of some of the issues in current midwifery practice. Your application should explain why you think you'd be a good midwife and show your commitment to midwifery.
