Internships and Career Outlook
Internships & Co-ops Internship and career services professionals at Embry-Riddle, who have industry-specific specialties, can assist you in finding valuable experiences to add to your resume. Curricular Practical Training (CPT) allows students to receive academic credit for co-op/internship experience and learn on-the-job skills prior to earning their degree. You must be a full-time student for at least one year and choose a program where this is required in order to qualify. Optional Practical Training (OPT) is recommended for post-graduation co-ops/internships and provides students with a 12-month work authorization. You must be a full-time student for at least two consecutive semesters and plan to seek employment in the U.S. in your field(s) of study to qualify. Internships in electrical and computer engineering are well-paid positions and may include benefits such as housing and relocation allowances.
Embry-Riddle alumni obtain jobs with prestigious employers in both private industry and government, while others carve their own paths as successful entrepreneurs.
JULIA MAUTNER Germany B.S. Aerospace Physiology ’23 Seeing a connection between chiropractic medicine and her own experience as a tennis player, Mautner was inspired to pursue a degree in Aerospace Physiology at Embry-Riddle while simultaneously working toward her Doctor of Chiropractic
ANISA IMTIAZ Bangladesh B.S. Aeronautical Science ’25
Following in her father’s footsteps, Imtiaz felt drawn to the skies from a young age but was told that women were not supposed to be pilots. Pushing aside those who doubted her, she followed her dreams, becoming the first female Bangladeshi airline pilot in the U.S., serving as a Republic Airways first officer while earning her degree from Embry-Riddle. “Every time I put on my uniform, I remember that I am not just flying for myself, but for every girl who has been told ‘no,’ for every family who wonders ‘what if?’ Don’t be afraid of the unknown. The path ahead will be hard, but trust the dream in your heart. You are stronger than you know. Never let anyone else define your limits.”
Top Employers Our graduates work for some of the world’s biggest and most innovative companies: • Abu Dhabi Airports • American Airlines • Aptus Engineering • The Boeing Company • Collins Aerospace • Dassault Falcon Jets • Delta Air Lines • FedEx • JetBlue Airways • Oracle Robotics • Qatar Airways • Rolls-Royce Corporation • HondaJet • Honeywell
at Palmer. She is now working at a chiropractic practice in Germany.
“When I made the decision to study in the U.S., I was looking for a school with great academics, a good location and a great tennis team. I visited multiple schools in Florida, and Embry‑Riddle was the one that made me feel at home right away. The Aerospace Physiology bachelor’s program opened doors in all healthcare fields and prepared me perfectly for graduate school.”

MAY MARYZANA MAGINDE Papua New Guinea B.S. Aerospace Engineering ’19 M.S. Airworthiness Engineering ‘25 Growing up as a world-traveler, Maryzana Maginde envisioned herself earning a degree in the Netherlands or Australia. However, Embry-Riddle scholarships and her love for engineering took her down a different path. After earning her degree, Maryzana Maginde took on roles at Lufthansa, Hwaker Pacific Aerospace and now Safran, where she works as a stress engineer. “The highlight of my Embry‑Riddle experience was meeting friends for life who all share the same passion for aviation as I do. All of us come from different walks of life, attending Embry‑Riddle for one purpose and then continuing our own journeys, but remaining close friends regardless of distance. The Embry‑Riddle community I was submerged into was a small, close-knit one, and it truly helped with acclimatizing to the U.S.”
LUCAS CRISTALDI Brazil B.S. Aeronautics ’25
Cristaldi immigrated to the U.S. in 2018 from Brazil, deciding to join the U.S. Air Force. He participated in the NASA Solar System Ambassadors program, focused on public education. He has since brought NASA’s message to audiences in the U.S. and Brazil, highlighting current NASA missions and showing others how they can achieve their dreams. “After finishing tech school and earning my Community College of the Air Force degree, I started looking into what classes I could transfer to Embry‑Riddle.
Our Florida and Arizona campuses are ranked #1 Most Innovative in their respective regions
U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT, 2025, 2026
