SERENA ELIJAH Lagos, Nigeria Aerospace Engineering ’26
AIDA CIRLAN-HUSTEA Bucharest, Romania Aeronautical Science ’25
Elijah chose to attend Embry-Riddle due to her interests in aerospace, aeronautical and astronautical engineering. She has earned a Women of Excellence Scholarship, has made the Dean’s List and is a member of the International Student Organization, among others. “At Embry-Riddle I have learned to be my own person, thanks to God and to the small but quality population of the school. I have had an intimate learning experience and I am able to meet new people from various backgrounds; religious, academic, social, etc. I have been able to learn from a diverse pool of people and incorporate their characteristics into my life to become the best I can be.”
Initially drawn to Embry-Riddle due to her passion for academia and flying, Cirlan-Hustea soon discovered that the university had much more to offer. On top of being an executive member of the Aeronautical Honor Society, Alpha Omicron Alpha and a member of the Aviation Safety Advisory Council, she is the president of International Ambassadors, an on-campus group dedicated to easing the transition to college life for international students. “This experience has taught me strong leadership skills, as well as time management. I am sure there was no better way for me to gain those fundamental skills that will guide me throughout my career as a pilot... I believe that it is equally important for a student to be hardworking in class and in flight training, but also greatly involved in campus activities. Embry-Riddle gives students the opportunity to balance those two and launch their careers.”
Top Employers Our graduates work for some of the world’s biggest and most innovative companies:
• Abu Dhabi Airports • American Airlines • Aptus Engineering • The Boeing Company • Collins Aerospace • Dassault Falcon Jets • Delta Air Lines • FedEx • JetBlue Airways • Oracle Robotics • Qatar Airways • Rolls-Royce Corporation • HondaJet • Honeywell

KAISHU TAKASE Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan Aeronautical Science – Fixed Wing ’19
Vansadia, the president of the International Student Organization at Embry-Riddle, has served as secretary for the Astronomy Club, assisted in observation sessions during Open House events and participated in hands-on research in the astronomy labs on campus. With a passion for astronomy and a desire to continue learning and growing as a person, student and professional, Vansadia feels well-prepared for life after graduation. “Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has been the ultimate launching pad for my aspirations in the field of astronomy and astrophysics. My fascination with the cosmos has been nurtured and expanded in this learning environment... In addition to broadening my knowledge of astronomy, these experiences have also given me the chance to share my enthusiasm with other students and the local community. As a senior, I look forward to continuing my exploration of the universe and contributing to the advancement of space science.”
Takase is an Aeronautical Science alumnus who graduated in 2019. Currently serving Embry-Riddle’s flight department as a Training Manager and Instructor Pilot, he previously worked as a First Officer with a leading U.S.-based airline. During his time on campus, he was involved in several campus clubs and groups, all while obtaining his pilot’s license. With a passion for aviation and the motivation to achieve his goals, Takase is taking flight and finding success post-graduation. “Embry-Riddle is a unique environment where diverse, energetic and talented individuals work together to grow and succeed. I’m glad to be here as it also means becoming part of a lively com- munity that encourages innovation and collaboration and helps everyone here build valuable skills and expertise.”
