Wynn Al Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah

Set to open in Spring 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island recently reached a major construction milestone, with the 70-storey tower officially topping out at 283 metres just 27 months after foundation works began. When completed, the hotel will rise to a height of 352 metres, making it the tallest man-made structure in Ras Al Khaimah by more than 100 metres. The region’s first fully integrated resort, Wynn Al Marjan Island will span more than 60 hectares and will fea- ture 1,530 guestrooms, including 297 suites, two Royal Apartments, Garden Townhomes and Marina Estates. Highlights include 22 restaurants, lounges and bars, a beach club, a luxury spa, a skylit shopping parterre, a theatre venue, extensive events spaces, 12 pools, a 420-metre white-sand beach, and a deep-water marina capable of accommodating superyachts. Developed by Wynn Resorts in partnership with Marjan, the landmark property represents the driving force behind RAK’s goal of establishing itself as a global tourism and entertainment hub.

Etihad Rail, UAE

The long-anticipated Etihad Rail passenger service, launching this year, is set to transform inter-emirate travel, positioning rail as a fast, lower-emission alternative to road transport. Connecting 11 cities across the UAE, the service is expected to carry up to 36.5 million passengers annually, with journey times as short as 50 minutes between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Trains, manufactured by Spain’s CAF, will operate at speeds of up to 200 km/h and offer first, business and economy class cabins. As part of the wider national rail network, the project represents a major step in strengthening connectivity across the Emirates while advancing the UAE’s long-term sustainability ambitions.

Mira Coral Bay, Ras Al Khaimah

Developed by Marjan in partnership with Mira Developments, Mira Coral Bay is pitched as the world’s first luxury waterfront community, created in collaboration with 14 globally renowned brands. The destination, which aims to boost Ras Al Khaimah’s stay-and-spend appeal, will blend hospitality, leisure and residential components, with highlights including five-star resorts, branded beach clubs and fine-dining restaurants.

Al Khaimah’s most anticipated mixed-use waterfront districts, conceived as a contemporary coastal community designed for everyday living. The project masterplan blends residential neighbourhoods with hospitality, retail, cultural and civic components, with more than 60% of the development allocated to residential use.

Apartments, townhouses and wa- terfront homes are complemented by hotels, education facilities, public spaces and generous green areas. Broad promenades, direct beach access and shaded walkways help shape an active, community-focused environment. The project also incorporates com- mercial zones and a dedicated logis- tics and light industrial component.
