TAYLOR CLARK
This Kevin J. Hayes Memorial Scholarship comes at a time of great need. Recently, many family situations have come up leading me to become 100% financially independent. This scholarship pushes me closer to achieving my goal of graduating from college debt- free. I have worked full-time throughout college while taking a full course load. Also, I have just finished up an internship at EY, where I worked a ton of hours to help achieve my goal of a debt-free start to my career. Also, this Scholarship gives me an opportunity to only focus on the MAcc instead of having to balance that & a job. Overall, this scholarship gives me the ability to not stress as much financially and allows me to become more focused on the Master of Accounting Program. I am excited to get started and make all those who have invested in me proud!

This scholarship really means a lot to me, and it will help me with the graduate program. This scholarship will reduce my financial burden, which, in turn, will allow me to focus more on learning and maintaining my GPA rather than having to worry about how I'm going to pay for school. I was excited to learn of my selection for this honor, and I am deeply appreciative of your support. I chose accounting after I started college, because I knew that it could be something that would continue to challenge me. By awarding me this scholarship, you have lightened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on school and the things that really matter. I was so excited to be accepted into KSU's Master of Accounting program, but I was even more excited to receive the news that I was awarded a scholarship to help pay for it. The scholarship would not be possible if it weren't for the AICPA's generosity and support for motivated and driven students who aspire to impact their community with leadership. It means so much to me, and the award adds fuel to the fire for me to continue my journey with education. I can't wait to obtain my CPA license and begin my career. The accounting and business knowledge that I will gain by the time I graduate with my Master's Degree will enable me to provide more value to my firm and the clients I serve. I am so grateful for my scholarship as it will help me pay for my last year of undergraduate at KSU. Thanks to dual enrollment and scholarships/financial aid, it looks like I am on track to not have to pay a penny out of pocket for my degree in accounting. It is a great blessing to be able to say that, as it gives me the ability to look forward to the future without the worry of paying back loans. Lastly, I am thankful for scholarships as they have helped, and continue to help, motivate me to pursue excellence in my coursework.
I am incredibly honored and grateful to be a scholarship recipient. As I wrap up my last semester as an undergraduate, one of my biggest concerns going into the Master of Accounting Program is the amount it will cost for my family and me. When I entered college, my mother and father told me that their goal for me is to finish college with little to no student loan debt. My parents have paid for my undergraduate education completely out of pocket. Both of my parents work tirelessly at their respective jobs in order to make enough money to pay for my tuition without relying on loans, so receiving any amount of money from scholarships means a lot to me because it makes me feel as if I am lessening the financial pressure placed on them. That being said, I would like to say I appreciate all scholarship donors. I would like to emphasize that their donations mean a lot to not just me, but students everywhere.

I am so blessed to have been selected to receive scholarships this year! These scholarships relieve a burden my parents and I would otherwise have to worry about. It allows them to shift their primary focus on encouraging me and, in turn, allows me to place that encouragement into my schoolwork with less worry about the financial aspect of my education. My schoolwork is what has reflected my hard work over the years, and receiving these scholarships lets me know that I am seen from the donors as having potential to put these resources into really good use. I appreciate each and every donor who provides support one step closer to my dreams. Without the scholarship, these goals would be challenging to achieve with the excellence I would like to achieve them with.
As an international student from South Africa, I think back on the last few years at Kennesaw State University and the amazing individuals, such as Mr. Stevens, which have become a part of my journey. To me, the J. Larry Stevens Scholarship is far more than a dollar amount to assist with my tuition. This scholarship represents the faith and confidence which he has in me and my ability to succeed, which motivates me to work even harder to achieve my dream. I will do my very best at all times and prove that I am a worthy investment. Mr. Stevens generosity has inspired me to continue to help others and hope that one day, I will be able to motivate students to achieve their goals just as he has done for me.

CALEB CONE Being awarded the Aprio Scholarship by the Educational Foundation of the GSCPA helped strengthen my ability to continue excelling inside the classroom as well as in my community. More than anything, knowing someone believed in my potential as a professional to invest in my education gave me the additional confidence in my ability and focus on my goals necessary to succeed at a high level. Financially, receiving support meant I could again focus better in the classroom while still providing for my wife and newborn daughter at home in my final year at KSU. It is humbling to be a scholarship recipient, and I consider it an investment in myself and my family and I am eager for it to bear fruit going forward.
I know that not everyone gets selected for the scholarship, so I am supremely appreciative. To me personally, the scholarship is a sign of confidence and faith in my abilities as a student. Other students could have easily been picked over me, so this must mean that some very important people see something special in me out of an already elite group of students. With that in mind, this scholarship comes with a sense of honor and duty. I am honored just by what the scholarship symbolizes, and I feel it is imperative that I show why I was chosen and make those that believe in me proud. Most of all, the KSU Foundation Scholarship reinvigorates me and helps me come in to the MAcc program even more mentally focused and determined than previously.

Finding out that I was receiving a scholarship filled me with joy. School can be extremely difficult sometimes, and the financial stress of having to pay for something that you can’t necessarily afford can be quite daunting. For me, scholarships have helped to relieve me of the financial burden that is tagged along with pursuing higher education, and I would not be able to have these opportunities and pursue my dreams if it weren’t for the generous few who help us out so dearly.
