INCIDENT COMMAND SYSTEM: POSITION DESCRIPTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ICS is designed to be flexible and adaptable. The primary staff positions are summarized here along with a brief checklist for each. Other staff positions can be created to fit the need. The IC may have to create a job description and checklist for those positions. For any position it is imperative that each person knows to whom they report and what is expected of them.

The Command Staff consists of (4) positions: Incident Commander, Information Officer, Safety Officer and Liaison Officer.
