A 55-year-old Limoges man was reported missing on June 2. The man suffers from some mental health issues and was last seen leaving his home but never returned. Police conducted a preliminary search without success. The following Sunday a larger search ef- Lost man found on ATV trail in Larose Forest fort was organized. Just after 11 a.m. that morn- ing an ATV rider roaming along one of the trails in the Larose Forest just north of the village of Limoges found the missing man. The man was reported to be tired and suffer- ing from dehydration. He was taken to Ottawa General Hospital and treated for non-life threat- ening injuries and also examined for any signs of hypothermia.
With the current foul spring weather in Eastern Ontario anyone going on trips into the woods is urged to leave word about their plans with fam- ily or friends, including an estimated time for re- turn. Dress appropriate to the weather and take along some trail mix, a full water bottle, and a signal whistle. Anyone lost in the woods should stay where they are and wait for rescue while giv- ing three short whistle blasts on a regular basis.

Children are welcome to bring their teddy bears or other stuffed friends for a visit to the Teddy Wellness Clinic fol- lowed by refreshments, games, stories, face painting, and other activities.
