Anne Kego-Major, deceased peacefully with her family by her side, at Grand River Hospital on Saturday March 31, 2012 in her 91st year. She was the loving and cherished wife of Fred for 30 years. She was an absolutely loving and incredible mother that will be forever in their hearts and missed dearly by her children Carol Kego, Linda Seguin (Chris Kawchak) and Douglas Kego (Diane Pouliot); the loving grandmother of Jason Harris (Lynn), Joshua and Brandon Kego. She will be affectionately remembered by Fred’s family in England. Predeceased by her first husband Robert Watson Kego (1967) and her son in law Paul Dea (2001). Chère maman et grand-maman, Déjà cinq ans que tu es partie. Notre vie n’a plus jamais été la même. Tu as fait preuve de force et de courage tout au long de ta vie. En ton honneur, nous continuerons de donner le meilleur de nous-mêmes, d’aller encore plus loin, comme tu l’as fait. N’oublie jamais que tu as été pour nous la plus grande dame que l’on ait connue. Nous ne vous oublierons jamais, toi, papa et Jacqueline. On vous aime. Danielle, Luc, Louise, Lyne, Stella, Michel, tes gendres, ta bru, tes petits-enfants et tes arrière-petits-enfants. Elle a touché le cœur de tant de personnes au cours de sa vie, trop nombreux à énumérer. Sydney Seary, beloved father, grandfather and great- grandfather,passedawayonMarch26,2012.Mourned by Andrew (Percilla), Susan (Edwin) and Kim (Julie), grandchildren Alex (Rebecca) and Sara (James) in Bristol, England and Rebecca (Aram) in California, great-grandchildren Christopher, Joshua and Will, all in England, also missed by Penne Ollivier and her children. Sydney was the last survivor of six children born in Brownsburg (Qc) to John Seary and Gertrude Fisk. Syd and four of his siblings served overseas in World War II. On return to Canada with his beautiful English bride Patricia Lazell, he resumed duties at Canadian Safety Fuse, where he worked until his retirement. Syd contributed to his community through the Red Cross, the Legion, and the Anglican Church. Golf and gardening were favorite past-times, while bridge was his passion. Following Patricia’s passing in 1999, Syd relocated to British Columbia where he married Loreene Ollivier, who also predeceased him. Lovingly cared for in his last years by his daughter Kim and the staff at the Windermere Care Centre. Memorial service took place at St. George’s Anglican Church, Vancouver, Monday April 2nd. Interment in Lachute (Qc) later this year. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Tri-Parish Meal Ministry c/o St. Mark’s Anglican Church, 1805 Larch Street, Vancouver V6K 3N9.
