DART has been growing at a rapid pace over the last few years. To sustain this rapid growth, we are now committed to increase our production capacity to meet our customer requests. As the starting point of our production line, the machinist operates and sets up manual and multi axis CNC Lathes and milling machines. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Set-up and operate CNC machines. • Read and interpret drawings. • Read and create G code on the program. • Perform visual inspection. • Create tooling, jigs and fixtures. • Inspect parts machined on the multi-axis CNC mill and lathe. • Make minor program modifications. • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions for adjustments or repairs. • Participate in production planning. • Follow procedures. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. • Post-Secondary diploma in a related field preferred. • Machinist license an asset. • Experience in aerospace industry an asset. • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner. • Critical eye for identifying defects. • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. • Ability to work in a lean manufacturing environment. DART Aerospace is striving to become the world leader in helicopter mission equipment, related services and replacement parts. To support this vision, we aim to deliver on operational excellence and operational performance to our worldwide customer base. Fabricator will be required to use a variety of light and heavy machinery to create and assemble the fabricated components into complete units. Other duties may be assigned as needed. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Analyze blueprints and engineering drawings to assess materials needed, and plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal. • Create and construct patterns and guides as templates for metal cutting. • Operate light machinery to: rivet, grind, shear, bend, drill • Layout reference points and patterns on heavy metals according to the templates/blueprints. • Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to create complete units or subunits. • Use proper jigs to perform tubing according to template. • Install fabricated components in the final product. • Monitor quality of fabrication and production. • Other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. • Manual dexterity with small tools and attention to details when performing precision work (using calipers and measuring tools) is required. • Ability to read engineering drawings is required. • Completion of either a 3-4-year apprenticeship or have accumulated 4+ years of experience in the trade is an asset. • Sheet metal experience is an asset. • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner. • Critical eye for identifying defects. • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. • Ability to work in a lean manufacturing environment.
