Whether a PetroHab system is installed offshore in West Africa, on an LNG facility, in the Gulf of Mexico or on an industrial site somewhere else in the world, the expectation is that the same safety principles and installation discipline are followed. Shutt connects that discipline directly to PetroHab’s operating history.
“That’s why we’ve been here since 2011 with zero incidents.”
In a business built around controlling ignition sources in hazardous environments, that record carries more weight than any individual equipment feature. THE WORK THAT CANNOT WAIT PetroHab’s applications now extend beyond traditional oil and gas work. Shutt sees opportunities in chemical plants, paper manufacturing and other industrial facilities where welding, cutting or grinding may need to take place around combustible or hazardous materials. The company has also adapted its silicone-coated fiberglass material for an EV fire blanket designed to help contain a vehicle fire and slow its spread. But PetroHab’s original problem remains the one Shutt returns to most often. Industrial facilities are built around maintenance schedules. Refineries plan turnarounds. Units are taken offline and gas-free. Major repairs are scheduled during carefully controlled maintenance windows.
That approach works when the repair can wait.
