OUTDOOR RESORT PALM SPRINGS Membership Survey Vision/Mission Statements/Core Values Page 17

193. I think there is work to be done around the culture of allowing new and reasonable hobbies and sports to done correctly. Small “hate groups” are very vocal against the changing/developing norms in the RV environment and refuse to support reasonable progress. Recent examples are Pickleball and Dog ownership, where small groups protested strongly against issues that are the present and future of RV parks according to recent trends and surveys outside of this park. ORPS needs to stay current and plan for the future. 194. Excellent facilities when they are in working order. E.g. Laundry Facilities and the ES Kitchen. For a five-star resort we had no kitchen use for the whole season. The Hot Tub on Satellite D has been out of order for 5 days with a Health Notification label on it. 195. You can't call it a Premier Resort when small car pulled trailers are allowed as well as Toy Haulers. You can't be considered Premier when the park now has a large breed dog population and owners are not respectful of other lot owners’ space. Trash areas and main laundry facilities should be a major priority rather that a street sweeper and various other unneeded expenses. The HOA fees for a trailer park are getting a little out of control. 196. Having a pet relief area in a high traffic area and very visible part of the park is unacceptable. I don’t have a problem with pets but I do care about the appearance of our resort. 197. I’d like to volunteer but don't want to feel obligated. 198. A premier RV resort should have wifi everywhere, should be included in our HOA fees 199. The resort is lacking in terms of mutual respect, community participation and cooperation, inclusivity, it does not foster a sense of overall community and some of the amenities are sorely lacking. I wanted to join a committee and while I was supported and promoted by a couple of board members, the individuals on the committee did not welcome or support me. I also witnessed an owner tearing a strip off an employee which was totally unacceptable. 200. The "quality of life" terminology makes me think of a nursing home. Would rather see a focus on exceptional living in an active community. There is no mention of the target audience. Have we adequately captured the concept of customer service? 201. So far on track with Mission Statement.

202. None

203. I understand the importance of having a mission statement and I would like to think more time and thought needs to go in to the actions that apply to adhering to the mission and values, rather than time and energy spent on the wording and redesigning that has been put into devising these statements. 204. We have NO vision about a pet area. We have a great sense of community; we could do better with services. We must spend the money we take in wisely. 205. There is no mutual respect in this resort. The pets seem to be more important than the humans. Sick of them relieving anywhere the owners feels it’s ok.
