OUTDOOR RESORT PALM SPRINGS Membership Survey Vision/Mission Statements/Core Values Page 20

225. Difficult to get quick response to landscaping issues. Being financially stable does not include rising HOA fees in order to support hiring an unnecessary golf pro for our beautiful par three golf course. At times the views of the owners are disregarded not respected. 226. I have concerns as of late with the number of owners moving into the Resort as an answer to cheap housing to raise a family or work in the community. We are built as a winter Resort and what makes it such a great community is that we all used to be l retired persons looking for friends, activities and entertainment. As people move in and use it as a housing community, we could lose the "RESORT" feel. 227. Appreciate diversity of people, ideas, relationships, etc. 228. I think that volunteerism has diminished in the last few years. Many volunteers whom I know do not feel valued since their work and conclusions seem to be ignored by staff and the board. As a result, they are questioning "Why bother?" and are asking themselves why they continue to serve on a committee, I think volunteers have been utilized more effectively in the past. Some of us see more employees and fewer volunteers as a weakness. 229. Dog area needs work. The current walking area around the tennis court are hard to navigate. Uneven terrain at best. At Motor Coach Country Club Indio, they have a nice concealed dog park in the left side of the entry to the community. It’s hidden by a hedge and has 2 fenced areas for small and large dogs. This would be a nice idea since we have so much area on our entry to ORPS on the right side when exiting. Wish we had that area available for a dog park. 230. Irrigations needs attention!! Always turned off or clogged sprinklers. Palm Tree maintenance in front lots trimmed. Gutters in streets cleaned and addressed flow. 231. Why lower our standard to premier? The core values require a description, not just words. 232. A Premiere RV Resort does not have dirty and slippery (when wet) tile decks. I give this a D- grade! 233. I trust the board members selected to ensure all issues are looked after 234. A few things in the resort do not reflect the Vision and Mission statements. One example is the satellite laundry facilities. 235. Good 236. Need to do a WAY better job with laundry machine maintenance! 19th hole should be moved to pool wall, made indoor/outdoor bar, open more hours! Other clubhouse should have equivalent to 19th hole as it sits now. 237. We cannot make claims for something we are not. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport and we have to play with subpar equipment that is not used in any offsite competitions making our facility less desirable for purchase and for Community Participation leaving owners no other choice than to leave the resort to play elsewhere rather than within own community. 238. The laundry centers need to be updated and the machines in very good, working order.
