OUTDOOR RESORT PALM SPRINGS Membership Survey Would/Would Not Recommend Page 15
263. There is WAY too much money spent on keeping the golf people happy. We are not golf people but we did try the 9 hole course a few times. Never again- every time we got back from r game there was either a complaint about r attire. I mean where is the fun in playing a game if u have to wear a mandatory uniform that was decided a hundred years ago by the old boys’ club. It’s 2020 and for $400 bucks a month US$, I should be able to play in whatever I want to wear. Time to change the rules.
264. Value for the cost.
265. Great value for the investment.
266. Our satisfaction and pleasure during the time we spend here.
267. I would recommend ORPS for its landscape and amenities. Otherwise, I would advise to keep somewhat to themselves. The front desk can be rude, and neighbors can be too close. But the pools are nice. 268. Best bang for your buck to be able to be able to have a getaway in the desert and socializing with other seniors. 269. Overall value of amenities (because golf is included) for the current cost of the HOA. If golf was not included, it would not be a good value! 270. I would recommend a purchase for those that want play pickleball, golf, lots of social activity options and facilities to use for private group gatherings i.e. card groups, pergola gatherings, bar, restaurant, pool room, clubhouse for larger events. 271. I would recommend for amenities offered especially golf and pickleball, lots of social activities to choose from. 272. The current board of 2019/2020 lacks vision and leadership. They are pissing away our fees and creating deficit budgets. Most owners are asleep at the wheel. This board is getting away without following proper procedures. 273. Beautiful setting, ability to form strong friendships through participating in activities that support healthy aging. 274. It’s a great way to spend your winters as we have lots of activities and social events which are so important. 275. Not recommend because: 1. No 'proper pickleball' as befitting a 5 star resort in this day and age of pickleball being the fastest growing sport in the USA. 2. The petty, bureaucratic and indecisive politics of the resort that bring about unpleasantness between owners, a lack of prompt decisive decision-making on crucial functions and requirements within the resort and a lack of leadership desire to solve issues promptly and positively.
276. Rule that are not enforced, HOA dues keep getting increased. Not up to 5 star.
277. The main reason I would NOT recommend someone I know is the way pet owners are treated. I realize the resort was built without considering how many people have pets now.
278. It’s as active and quiet as you want it to be.
279. I bought a lot for a good price though it’s nice I wouldn’t persuade someone to buy here without visiting for themselves. We need to work on our five-star rating.
