10. Food stores, including those where food may be made and consumed on the premises. 11. Hotels. 12. Personal care and medical services , such as barbers, beauticians, nail salons, massage therapists, physical health and fitness services, as well as chiropractors, dentists, doctors, opticians, optometrists, and the like. 13. Public parks and playgrounds. 14. Public offices, except for post offices and driver's license exam or motor vehicle registration facilities. 15. Restaurants including those with drive-in establishments or drive-through facilities. 16. Restaurants with patio seating as an accessory use, only within a rear yard setback, but not in the public right-of-way. 17. Retail and service businesses for the sales and service of personal tangible property and goods. Uses may include: a. Sales of antiques, appliances, art, auto parts, books, clothing, craft supplies, electronics, furniture, gifts, hardware, household supplies, jewelry, luggage, musical instruments, office supplies, pets and pet supplies, plants and gardening supplies, rugs, shoes, sporting goods, tools and home improvement supplies, toys and games, and the like. b. Services. Appliance repair, copy and printing stores, design services, dry cleaning pick up and drop off, electronics repair, florists, laundries and self-service laundromats, locksmiths, packaging and shipping, pet grooming, pharmacies, photography studios, sewing, shoe repair, upholstering, window treatments, and the like.
116 B-5 Highway Corridor Mixed Use Business District A. Intent. This district is intended as a diverse and intense mixed use urban environment, with 3- to 6-story buildings constructed close together and adjacent to sidewalks to enhance walkability. Typically, upper floors have multiple- family housing or office space, while ground floors have retail and service businesses interspersed with public spaces. B. B-5 Permitted Uses. 1. Apartment buildings, condominiums and townhouses. 2. Animal clinics or hospitals limited to the care and treatment of small animals, including facilities for grooming, subject to all the following conditions: a. All animals must be harbored and treated in a completely enclosed building. b. Accessory incineration for the disposal of dead animals is not allowed. 3. Antennas for Wireless Communication Facilities mounted on existing structures, subject to the requirements of Section 4-109 of these Zoning Regulations. 4. Banks and other financial institutions. 5. Bed and breakfast homes which meet the parking requirements of Section 6-101B1g of these Zoning Regulations. 6. Business and professional offices, including those with live-work units . a. Storage space in each such structure must not exceed 50% of the gross floor area. 7. Chapels, churches, mosques, synagogues, and temples. 8. Drinking establishments and package liquor stores. 9. Drive-in establishments or drive-through facilities.
