Two more wins for the Hawks
Brooks was named first star player of the game with Taillon, the third. Sunday in Brockville, the Braves beat the Hawks 6-2 with Hawkesbury’s two goals going in during first period. Tyson Kirkby opened the score for Brockville oneminute into the period with help from Nicholas Hawkins. The Hawks Ryan Donovan tied up the score two minutes later with assists from David Jankowski and Colin Stevens. Flet- cher Anderson broke the tie inHawksbury’s favour in the latter half of the period with assists from Stevens and Tyler Boivin. The rest of the game belonged to the Braves with Mathieu Halle tying up the score in the first three minutes into second period, with assists from Eric Holland and Jonathan Hill. Philippe Gilmour broke the tie five minutes later with help from Kirkby and Hawkins. Andrew Jarvis extended the lead during the first minute of third period with assists from Hill and Kirkby. Holland scored three minutes from the end of the period, off a pass from Jordi Jefferson. Haw- kins punched in the final goal 20 seconds later with help from Kirkby and Hill. Justin Evenson guarded the Brockville net while Matthew Petizian occupied the Hawks net and also earned the third-star of the game nomination. First and second stars were Kirkby and Hill for Brockville. The Hawks host Pembroke Friday after- noon, Dec. 1, at the Vankleek Hill Arena. Sunday they are in Pembroke and Dec. 6 in Nepean.

The Hawkesbury Hawks added two more wins to their season schedule. The Hawks beat the Rockland Nationals 6-3 in Rockland Nov. 22, and then recorded a shutout against the Navan Grads, 3-0, in a Friday home game at the Vankleek Hill Arena. Anders Johnson opened the scoring for the game andHawkesbury, twominutes into first period, with help from Alec Beaudin- Tougas and Alec Taillon. Trevor Coyken- dall tied up the score with help from fellow Rockland players Jordan Power andMathieu Blanchette. David Jankowski fired in both of his points for Hawkesbury during the first half of first period, with scoring assistance from Mike Nantais and Chris Smith on the first goal and Colin Stevens and Fletcher Anderson on the second. Coykendall scored his second goal of the game for Rockland about a minute-and-a- half into second-period play, with an assist from Josh Stanley. Alec Taillon extended the Hawks’ lead, early in the second half of the period, with help fromBeaudin-Tougas and Matt Gasuik. Smith pushed the lead further on a power play with help from Anderson and Jankowski. Ryan Donovan finished off the second-period goal shooting for the Hawks with an assist from Tanner Tarbell.
