Sens’ Hometown tour in Hawkesbury HAWKESBURY |The Ottawa Senators are hitting the road and bringing the team to towns and cities across eastern Ontario and western Quebec. Held in conjunc- tion with CTV Ottawa, TSN 1200 and RV Canada, the Hometown Tour will visit 11 local Canadian Tire store locations and one minor hockey rink throughout the national capital region from August 19- 21 and August 26-28. The tour will be at the Hawkesbury Canadian tire August 26, from 4 to 7 :30 PM. The Hometown Tour will give fans the chance to meet Senators player, participate in interactive games, win tickets to Opening Night (October 16 vs. Colorado Avalanche), allow members of Sens Army to send mes- sages of support to the players by signing the UnitedinRed Fan banner, win prizes and more.
Test the speed of your shot, shoot out the lights with our top shot net, go for a slide down the Sparty Slide or take a bounce in the Sparty bounce castle. There are lots of fun and interactive activities for kids of all ages including a mini ball hockey rink! Inte- ractive games and activities at each loca- tion will vary and are subject to weather. At each stop, a fan will win two tickets to the Senators Home Opener on Thursday, October 16th against the Colorado Ava- lanche. Be sure to enter for your chance to win! Watch twitter and facebook during each day of the Hometown Tour for a chance to win additional Senators prizes or put on your Senators best and you could win ran- dom Senators prizes on-site. Also, leave your mark and support the players by leaving words of encouragement by signing our UNITED IN RED fan banner. Portions of the banner will be displayed at each stop and then compiled following the tour and displayed for the players to see on the opening day of training camp.

En attendant le début du camp d’entraînement des Cougars, les amateurs de hockey de Vankleek Hill pourront assister à celui des Glens junior B d’Alexandria, qui commenceront le leur au Centre communautaire le 28 août prochain, de 20h à 22h. Les Glens tiendront ensuite deux autres soirées de hockey à Vankleek Hill les 30 et 31 août. La saison dernière, les Glens ont connu une campagne en dents de scie, terminant à l’avant-dernier rang de la division St. Lawrence, un point derrière les Wolves d’Akwesasne. (SL)
