Risk Prevention Program (RPT) RPT is a National Crime Prevention Strategy funded program and is a member of the City of Surrey’s CHART table. This outreach resiliency-building program offers one-to-one and group prevention supports to at-risk young people ages 5-18 years and their families. The program support clients with clinical counselling, family strengthening strategies, risk- reduction education, health improvement, school engagement, cultural connections, and other client-derived goals. RPT is delivered primarily in the communities of Newton and Guildford by a clinical counsellor and an outreach worker, offering culturally sensitive services in various languages. Email............................. youthservices.info@options.bc.ca Growing Together Young Parent Outreach and Housing Support Program Young Parent Outreach offers one-to-one outreach support in connecting to community, life skills, advocacy, financial programs (where eligible), parenting support, food security, continuing with education, court, medical and government appointments. We operate 13 Young Family Housing Subsidies supporting parents to have safe, affordable housing while attending pre or post-secondary school, or working on goals to improve their life skills.
