• Provide a cost management service on Major Projects, including risk analysis and monitoring. • Provide effective cost and commercial advice and contribute appropriately to the design process, including production of option appraisals, life cycle costing and cost benefit analysis as appropriate. • Develop and implement cost recording / budget monitoring system for project and maintenance works of all types and contribute to monthly reporting. • Prepare, check and agree interim valuations, variations, final accounts, determination of other contractual entitlements and agree with suppliers and colleagues. • Organise and maintain estimating, tendering, cost management and related • Provide an in-house cost management service on projects (cost reporting, cash flow forecasting and feasibility advice) and evaluate proposals and the resources required for construction and engineering related projects, associated works and services of any value. Procurement • Advise on procurement methods and contractual approach. • Conduct the tender process for framework and contract procurement in line with the University’s policies and relevant public tendering requirements. • Maintain records on the financial performance of contractors and assist in the quarterly process of contractor and consultant evaluation. • Prepare and/or support the preparation of tender documentation records and information both manually and electronically. • Management and reporting of budgets for all projects.
