A FUN TIME DESPITE THE RAIN!
SCHOOLS SHOW SUPPORT FOR TERRY FOX
The light drizzle that blanketed the Clarence-Rockland region didn’t deter some from making their way to Rockland’s Parent Independent Grocer, in order to take part in the Meet the Keepers’ 3 rd annual Family Fun Festival on September 28. The event was held in order to collect funds for an upcoming rescue that will take place in Newfoundland. A total of $3,777 was raised. —photo Gregg Chamberlain
Several students, teachers and others from Clarence-Rockland took part in the National Terry Fox School Run Day, on September 26. All the money raised during the event goes to the Terry Fox Foundation and supports cancer research. «The Terry Fox School Run Day is a day when our students live our Character Always motto, by raising funds for cancer research and honoring the memory of Terry Fox,” said Upper Canada District School Board Chair John McAllister. “We are so proud of the work our students do each year around this national fundraising effort.” —photo Francis Racine
— photo Gregg Chamberlain
