Mark Andy Digital One, a CMYK dry-toner device with inline decorating and converting, has received a BS 5609 certification on Avery Dennison substrate. BS5609 is a certification that guarantees label durability in harsh marine and weather conditions. Labels printed with technology on material that retains the BS5609 certifica- tion will hold integrity, staying intact after up to 3 months of saltwater exposure.This is a common manda- tory prerequisite for transporting oil and chemical drums overseas, boosting the longevity of key identifiers if a barrel were to accidentally fall into the ocean. Harper Earns Air Compliance Award Harper Corporation of America, Charlotte, North Carolina, has earned the Air Compliance Excellence (ACE) award from Mecklenburg County Air Quality (MCAQ) for its continued compliance and commit- ment toward reducing pollution and improving local air quality. Over the past year, Harper was in compli- ance with all terms of its air quality permit. There were no violations for dust or odor complaints, re- quired emissions testing was completed, and reports, notifications, and fee payments were all submitted on time.
