3.10 Staff Experience Surveys – Clinical & Non-Clinical Staff Norfolk Primary Care (NPC) is committed to fostering a positive working environment and ensuring that staff experience supports the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. As part of this commitment, an annual staff survey was conducted in late March / early April 2026 across both clinical and non-clinical staff groups. We invited 401 individuals of our substantively employed, bank employed, and self-employed locum workforce to take part in our annual staff survey (compared to 264 employees in the 2024/25 period). The staff who were invited to give us feedback work in a combination of our head office and in our clinical services. They were sent a QR code containing a link to the survey and responded to a series of statements using a standard five-point Likert scale. The questions have been aligned with the NHS Staff survey, with sections covering all aspects of work life. Both surveys had mostly the same questions, with some additional clinical care focussed questions on the clinical staff survey. We asked for responses in 8 main sections, which were:
Section 1 - About You Section 2 - Your Role and Job Satisfaction Section 3 - Your Team, The People, and The Culture Section 4 - Your Health, Well-Being, and Safety at Work Section 5 - Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion Section 6 - Your Personal Development Section 7 - Quality, Patient Safety, and Improvement Section 8 - The Organisation – NPC 3.11 Overview – The Results
We received a total of 74 responses, which equates to an 18.5% response rate (26.5% response rate in the 2024/25 period). Whilst we recognise that the results do not represent everyone’s views, we valued the responses we did receive. They form the way in which we as an organisation can be responsive to our staff’s opinions to improve and develop new and existing services, alongside how we can improve working conditions and staff satisfaction. Responses were gathered anonymously, covering roles including administrative support staff, doctors, ARRS clinicians, and other allied health professionals across PCNs and clinical services.
