 We invest in leadership development across all levels of the organisation, including clinical and operational leaders within practices and PCNs.  We align our organisational priorities with ICS strategies and national primary care policy, ensuring we contribute effectively to system-wide goals.  We promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within our workforce and services, ensuring fair and equitable care for all.

Cross-Cutting (Digital & Transformation)

 We use digital innovation to improve access, efficiency, and patient outcomes, including the implementation of online consultations and digital triage systems.  We ensure digital inclusion is considered in all service design, maintaining equitable access for patients who may be digitally excluded.  We have strengthened data quality and interoperability, supporting safer, more coordinated care across services. 4.3 Strategic Key Quality Improvement Priorities 2026/27 Quality Improvement Priorities for 2026/27 Our priorities for 2026/27 have been developed to reflect the evolving demands on primary care, the needs of our local population, and our role within the Integrated Care System (ICS). They remain aligned with the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) five key domains: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-Led. 1. Strategic objective: Patient Safety

We will continue to strengthen patient safety systems within our services and general practices, with a focus on managing risk in high-demand, community-based settings and improving consistency across member practices.

We will:

 Embed a mature, consistent approach to PSIRF across all services and our NPC managed practices. We will aim to fully embed PSIRF into our practices over the next year.  Reduce avoidable harm in key areas such as prescribing, long-term condition management, and test result handling.  Improve the identification and management of deteriorating patients in the community.
