Sunshine and blue skies made for perfect golf weather on May 4, as the Hawkesbury Golf and Curling Club celebrated the official start to a new season over the first weekend. Adding to the excitement for local golfers getting out on the greens for their first rounds of the day was the chance to watch some of the best up-and-coming young golfers compete in a Canadian Junior Golf Association qualifying tournament at the club. —photo Gregg Chamberlain
