Rockland Nats win big in home opener

home opener in 41 years. To celebrate the occasion, players from the 1967 national-champion team, coached by former head coach Bryan Murray, were present for a pre-game ceremony and puck drop. Connor Beatty scored two goals for the Nats, while Jean-Sébastien Boyer secured the win with a third-period goal. Nats goal- tender Sean Storr stopped 20 out of 21 shots

of the game. The win places the Rockland Nationals in sole possession of second place in the CCHL. Several players from the national-cham- pion team of 1967 were present for a pre- game ceremony and puck drop. Abrams were amongst the people present during the ceremony to introduce these players. The Nats then had a chance at a rematch against the Navan Grads on Sunday, Septem- ber 10 for the Grads home opener, in which the Nationals fell 6-5 to the Grads. The Nats will take on the Kanata Lasers in an away game on Sunday, September 17 at 2:30 p.m.
