The main challenge was ensuring that all door, access and ironmongery elements worked together seamlessly as part of the wider building design. KCC supported this through detailed scheduling, technical input and close coordination with the project team throughout the process. KCC Group was asked to provide a specialist door, access and architectural hardware package for the new AMIC. The Belfast-based company, which also has offices in Dublin and Cork, delivered a specialist scope of works that included architectural ironmongery, electronic locking systems, integrated timber door sets, swing door automation, a speed gate entrance system, and fire-rated glazed screens and door systems. The focus was on delivering coordinated, compliant solutions that would support the safety, security, accessibility and day- to-day performance of the building. A project of this scale required careful coordination across a range of different spaces, from high-performance manufacturing and research areas through to workplace, teaching, circulation and
