Cleanroom by Angstrom Technology Angstrom Technology Ltd designed and installed a 600sqm cutting- edge ISO 5 and ISO 6 microelectronics specialist cleanroom. Working collaboratively with the end-user team, Angstrom provided a flexible, turnkey design-and-build solution. Involved in the project from the initial design and workshop stage, Angstrom’s experienced designers are well placed to ensure value for money while delivering the best specialist design solutions. Design challenges included incorporating 1m-deep recessed access floors for air-returning paths and tool services routes, allowing all finished floors to remain one level. Future-proof technology and a dedicated bespoke air shower have been incorporated to minimise facility running costs. Achieving a clean build in a live dirty construction environment was, meanwhile, among installation challenges. Angstrom implemented a strict clean-build process and protocols, including a temporary specialist tented change, material wipe-down area and airlock. Angstrom worked closely with the end-users and Henry Brothers on the project, with the main contractor’s support throughout contributing directly to its success. A trusted designer and installer of cleanrooms, Angstrom also provides regulatory compliance and validation.

Internal contracting by CCL Interiors CCL Interiors Limited was contracted to supply and fit internal partitions, suspended ceilings and specialist oak wall panels at AMIC. Andrew Montgomery, Director, says, “With the project being a new build, we were mindful of delivering it on programme. We also had to import a specialist oak wall panelling system from Europe, which was manufactured to order from raw material. “The attention to detail applied by our site teams was exceptional across all aspects of the project, especially with the oak top wood product which achieved an exceptional appearance aesthetically when installed.” Having collaborated with main contractor Henry Brothers on UK-wide projects over many years, CCL Interiors liaised daily with its management teams to ensure the project was delivered on programme. Established in 1974, CCL Interiors is a family-owned specialist internal contractor, delivering packages to the construction industry. With a head office in Belfast, the business also operates a further office in Glasgow and carries out extensive projects across NI and GB.
