MCKELVEY CONSTRUCTION HAS COMPLETED A NEW-BUILD STORE AND FORECOURT WITH A STRIKING ARCHITECTURAL APPEARANCE, HIGH-QUALITY FINISHES AND COMPLEX EXTERNAL INFRASTRUCTURE… Delivering a landmark retail development
McKelvey Construction has successfully delivered a modern new-build EUROSPAR convenience retail development and fuel forecourt at Rosses Gate in Derry/ Londonderry. Lynch’s EUROSPAR Caw is the 11th store opened in the North West and Mid Ulster region by the award-winning local retailer, which has invested £3m in the site. The Castlederg contractor was appointed as main contractor for the project, responsible for managing and coordinating all phases of the works including specialist subcontractors. The project involved construction of a new retail convenience store and fuel forecourt from initial groundworks through to final commissioning and fit out. Canopy and pump infrastructure, specialist drainage and attenuation systems, car parking and circulation areas, and external landscaping and boundary works were included in the works.
Darren McKelvey, Managing Director, says, “Successfully delivering this project within a demanding programme, while coordinating specialist fuel infrastructure, retail fit-out contractors and multiple subcontractors, made it an especially rewarding development to oversee.
