Also included were fire alarm systems, data and communications infrastructure, retail service integration, specialist fuel system connections and testing and commissioning works. High-spec retail fit out The internal fit out was completed to a high retail specification, creating a bright, modern and functional shopping environment with dedicated food-to-go areas, chilled produce displays, bakery facilities and extensive convenience retail shelving. Internal works included co-ordination of the retail fit out across the hot food deli, kitchen and tea point areas, and the installation of internal finishes, decoration, sanitary ware, specialist doors, glazed screens, refrigeration, retail services and flooring and ceiling finishes, as well as integration of signage and feature lighting. Working to a tight timeframe, McKelvey Construction collaborated with multiple specialist subcontractors, EUROSPAR’s fit- out team and retail teams stocking the new store, while also coordinating specialist fuel installation works. Managing major works adjacent to residential properties, the contractor implemented strict environmental and

noise controls, managed complex traffic movements and deliveries, and maintained robust health and safety procedures. The completed scheme demonstrates McKelvey Construction’s capability to deliver a complex retail development involving civil engineering and infrastructure works and construction of a store and forecourt including specialist M&E coordination and a high-end fit out. Works included constructing the substructure, superstructure and external walls and installing structural steel, roofing systems and weatherproofing. Further notable features include internal partitions, specialist retail areas and high-performance glazed screens and entrance systems. The completed building features contemporary architectural detailing with extensive glazing, feature cladding and integrated lighting elements to create a modern and welcoming retail environment. A comprehensive package of M&E services was delivered, including specialist forecourt operations and food retail operations.
