4.8 Employee Reports to Supervisors For safety and health reasons, as well as operational purposes, it is required that all employees understand and comply with the responsibilities and lines of authority established as part of the MOLLY MAID system. No employee can require or request any work activity of an unsafe or unhealthy nature. We require employees who receive questionable safety instructions or circumstances to question these instructions or circumstances and immediately report them to their franchise owner or supervisor and then to the safety officer. Employees are required to observe, document, and assist in carrying out this safety policy. Any willful miscommunication, falsification, withholding of information, failure to report, etc., is deemed grounds for immediate reprimand including possible termination. At the housecleaning level, trainees are instructed in safety and accident prevention. They report to the assigned team or supervisor charged with instructional responsibility. In the absence of a formal trainer, the team leader is responsible for the safe and healthy conduct of all employees assigned to her team. Partners report to the team leader of the team. Team leaders report to the office supervisor and/or safety officer. Trainers, estimators, and administrative workers report to the office supervisor, franchise owner, and/or safety officer. Ongoing safety and health-related issues are addressed in periodic staff meetings. 4.9 Safe Handling and use of Cleaning Supplies MOLLY MAID has a Hazard Communication Employee Training Program that is a part of your training as a home service professional. The training program covers information about the cleaning products used in cleaning customer homes, where to find information on each cleaning product, how to tell if a hazardous substance has been released in the work area, and the steps MOLLY MAID has taken to set up safe work procedures. The cleaning products approved for use in MOLLY MAID services are selected for effectiveness and safety. You may wonder if the cleaning chemicals are hazardous. When used properly, all MOLLY MAID cleaning supplies are safe. Using too much of any chemical is a health hazard. As a precaution, use all household chemical products only as the manufacturer’s label directs, carefully and with great respect to minimize exposure to
