2. The safety officer is responsible for maintaining safety standards, developing safety rules, and supervising and training personnel in company standards. 3. Wear non-skid, rubber-soled, white athletic shoes. 4. Clean up all spills at once. 5. Always place the supplied safety bath mat into the tub or shower stall before stepping into it. 6. When cleaning large floors, always leave a dry area for people to walk on by cleaning a small area at a time. 7. Keep your work area organized and in a safe condition at all times. 8. DO NOT smoke on customer premises. 9. Wear approved uniform only. (No open-toed sandals, high heels, or jewelry that may result in injury.) 10. Be sure that surfaces do not become dangerously slippery when polishing or waxing with customer-supplied items. 11. Throw rugs are dangerous slipping hazards. Use extra caution. 12. Handle broken glass with GREAT CAUTION. Pick up fine splinters and chips with a damp cloth, paper towel, or cotton. When possible, do not touch glass at all. Sweep it up and dispose of it very carefully. 13. DO NOT empty wastebaskets by digging into them. Hold them by the sides and turn them upside down, emptying them into a refuse bag. Cleaning Supplies 1. LABEL and MARK all cleaning supplies, disinfectants, etc. Keep these supplies in your bucket when not in use so they are NOT ACCESSIBLE to children who may be in the home. 2. READ LABELS on cleaning supplies and chemicals and use recommended precautionary measures. 3. Use MOLLY MAID approved supplies ONLY, unless the estimate of service indicates otherwise. 4. Use only specified amount and type of cleaner for a particular job. 5. DO NOT mix chemicals. Some mixtures produce hazardous gases or violent reactions (for example, chlorine bleaches mixed with such substances as vinegar, toilet bowl cleaners, or ammonia will produce chlorine dioxide, which is extremely toxic).
