Day 7: Luxor Discover the wonders of ancient Thebes. Your leader will explain the history of Colossi of Memnon. Join a local family for a traditional lunch. Day 8: Amman Take a short flight to Jordan. On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your Amman hotel. Day 9: Wadi Rum Explore the markets and walk along the beach on a guided walking tour with your leader. Free time follows. Day 10: Wadi Rum Hike around the area, with a stop for tea and lunch. Gear up for a half-day jeep safari through striking desert scenery. Day 11: Petra Leave your desert camp, taking 4WDs to the main entrance of Petra, which is opposite the Seven Pillars of Wisdom. Day 12: Petra Enjoy a free day of self-discovery as you explore Petra. Day 13: Kerak - Dead Sea - Mt Nebo - Madaba Visit the castle of Kerak. Pack your swim gear to wash off the dust in the Dead Sea. Mt Nebo beckons - where the prophet Moses is said to have seen the ‘promised land’. Day 14: Jerash - Madaba Leave Madaba to visit Jerash - once one of the grandest ancient Roman cities in the world. Day 15: Fly from Madaba to UK With no activities planned for today. You can leave at any time in line with check-out times.

In the evening, you’ll taste traditional Nubian family homemade foods. Day 4: Aswan Visit Abu Simbel this morning or take a sailboat ride around the islands. Or simply relax and take in the beauty of the Nile. Day 5: Nile Felucca Board your felucca journey just before lunch, watch Egyptian daily life play out, and spend a night under the stars. Day 6: Luxor Visit the open-air museum and the unique mirror-image design of the Temple of Kom Ombo, or the Temple of Edfu. This afternoon you’ll explore the magnificent Karnak Temple.
