SEKO - Global Policies & Employee Handbook 2019

4.14 Are you allowed to work for someone else while working as a SEKO employee? We expect your employment at SEKO to be your primary obligation. Outside employment by any client, other party or entity with a business relationship with SEKO, or any party or entity which is in any manner competitive with SEKO, is strictly prohibited. Other outside employment is discouraged. 4.15 Are you expected to protect SEKO Property? SEKO PROPERTY As an employee, you will routinely be in possession of property, information and/or resources that belong to SEKO, including keys and key cards, elevator codes, computer and voicemail passwords, notebook computers, projectors and other items. These items are your responsibility while they are in your charge, and you should always keep them secure. Each workspace has file cabinets and drawers that should be locked to protect SEKO information. If any SEKO property is lost or stolen, please notify your manager at once. If you are determined to have been negligent in your care of company property, you may be required to reimburse SEKO for expenses related to the item’s loss or theft. For example, if you leave your notebook computer unattended at the airport and it is stolen, you may be required to pay for the computer. On the other hand, if your house is robbed and your computer is stolen, you may not be expected to pay. Never leave your computer unattended and always use the lock-down device in the office. Keep keys and passwords secure. Minimize the removal of SEKO files and information from the office and, when it is necessary, take extra care to protect SEKO information from loss.

PERSONAL USE OF OFFICE EQUIPMENT SEKO invests in our office equipment. This equipment is to be used for our business. In limited cases, however, some of the equipment may be used for personal matters, provided such use has the prior approval of your manager. Personal usage of the postage meter is strictly prohibited. MAINTENANCE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY SEKO cannot be responsible for personal property that is lost, stolen or damaged. Please make sure that your personal belongings are in a safe place during the day and that you take your belongings with you after work. TELEPHONES The telephone is our major link with our clients. The telephone may be used for limited personal reasons provided it does not interfere with your normal work. At no time should it be used for personal long distance phone calls. You are responsible for reimbursing SEKO for significant personal usage of the telephone, and SEKO reserves the right to collect such amounts from you. Our billing equipment records all telephone calls by telephone number and duration. Accordingly, such information is not subject to privacy. VIDEO SURVEILLANCE For the safety of our employees, video surveillance cameras are located in the lobby, at all 1 st floor common entrances/exits, and in SEKO’s facilities. Therefore, there is no reasonable expectation of privacy in these common work areas.
