Cougars clip the Nats
Help beat up cancer!
The Nats had a better day Sunday against the Morrisburg Lions, skinning the visiting team 5-4 after getting a one-point lead in the second period. Scoring for Rockland were Brett Faber with two goals and singles from Joey Heath, Vincent Martel, and MatthewWilson. Goal assists came fromFaber, MatthewClement, Matthew Clifford, Patrick Lemay, Nathan Lowry, and Raphael Payant. Corey Camirand guarded the Nats net. Lions goals came fromTanner Hummel, Justin Laundrie, Josh Primeau, and Tyler Stockman. Assisting on the scoring were Hummel, Ronnie Boots, Jordan Smail, and Jordan St. Louis. Eric Mantha handled the lion’s share of the goaltending duties with Dean Gauvreau assisting. The Nats are in Papineauville against the Vikings on Remembrance Day evening.They return home Sunday afternoon to host the Gatineau Hull-Volant.

BrennanNadeau guarded the net for Van- kleekHill as the Cougars gave a close shave to the Rockland Nats over the November 5 weekend. Vankleek Hill edged past Rockland 3-2 when the buzzer sounded to end the game Saturday night at the Vankleek Hill Arena. Maxime Emond accounted for two of the Cougars’ goals with Vincent Huneault not- ching the other one. Assisting on the scoring plays were Nikolas Ayotte, Tyler Dopelha- mer, and Riley Sauvé. Scoring for Rockland were Paul Arms- trong and Patrick Lemay, with Armstrong helping on Lemay’s goal. Also assisting on the scoring plays were Matthew Clifford, Brett Faber, and Thomas Lowry. Preston Pilon took care of net duties for the Nats.
No, it’s not the Pink Power Ranger. Sensei Jeremy McCann has donned a non- traditional pink gi again, tomake good on a wager with themembers of the Bluewater Martial Arts Academy that theycould raisemore than $1000 for the annual Beat the CrapOut of Cancer campaign, which various Canadian and Americanmartial arts clubs take part in. As of the Nov. 5 weekend, the students have collectedmore than $1300 and plan to add to that total by the Nov. 12 weekend campaign wrap-up. So, as promised, McCann is wearing the pink gi for a full week of workouts and class sessions at the academy. —photo provided

Le candidat sélectionné devra être en mesure de rédiger en français et en anglais. Mais il devra, cependant, être enmesure de communiquer dans les deux langues. La capacité de rédiger dans les deux langues sera considérée un atout.
