Le Réseau agroalimentaire de l’Est ontarien (RAEO) a obtenu une sub- vention de 55 000$ du ministère de l’Agriculture, de l’Alimentation et des Affaires rurales de l’Ontario (MAARO). Cette somme servira à mettre en place des comptoirs réfrigérés de produits locaux dans plusieurs établissements d’épicerie sur le territoire de Prescott et Russell. Dès février 2015, les produits lo- caux seront disponibles dans plusieurs centres d’épicerie de la région. Chacun de ces comptoirs réfrigérés arborera les couleurs de Prescott et Russell et du RAEO afin de promouvoir les produits du terroir aux consommateurs. Actuel- lement, il peut être très difficile d’ache- ter une variété ou de grandes quanti- tés d’aliments ou de produits cultivés localement. «Ce projet est avantageux pour tous les consommateurs dési- reux d’acheter des produits locaux, car désormais ils pourront se procurer ces produits sans avoir à se déplacer sur de grandes distances», a affirmé Réjean Ouimet, président du RAEO. ,,1%ŏ 1ŏ Peppermint Porter Eastern Ontario craft brewers are coming together to create a holiday ale. The recipe was designed by Beau’s brewmaster Matthew O’Hara and Big Rig’s brewmaster Lon Ladell. The special brew is available at Beau’s retail store in Vankleek Hill.

Ci-dessus, les nouvelles conseillères, Karina Sauvé et Stéphanie Houle, le maire, Robert Kirby, réélu par acclamation, le maire-adjoint, Richard Sauvé, qui a été réélu, et le nouveau conseiller, Simon Rozon.
