NEWS FROM RUSSIA The Russian Bible and Evangeliza­ tion Society, a non-sectarian organiza­ tion, w ith headquarters a t 156 F ifth Avenue, New York City, and of which Mr. G. P. Raud is th e founder and General D irector-Secretary, has ju st published the- March number of “The Russian H arvest F ield,” an interesting and enlightening monthly magazine, concerning the real conditions in Rus­ sia. The Society, though young, has already a good number of preachers on th e field preaching and distribu ting the Scriptures in Russia, Poland, Czecho­ slovakia, Jugo-Slavia, F inland, and other Slavonic countries. The deplor­ able sta te of Russia has come about be­ cause she has no t been given th e Gospel of Jesus Christ. The preachers and Christian workers th ere are going through unbearable sufferings; many have died of- starvation. At th is mo­ m ent thousands of preachers and mil­ lions of Bibles are needed. P ray for Russia. Two hundred and fifty m illion, people are in g reat need of th e Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Slavonic coun­ tries and the Jews have been more neglected th an other countries.
