During its tenure at the RDS, Go!s sold many of the most famous racehorses of the 20th century including: Brown Jack – winner of the Champion Hurdle in 1928 as well as six consecutive wins in Ascot’s Queen Alexandra Stakes (1929 -1934). Bought for 75 guineas at the 1925 August Sale. Golden Miller – winner of five Cheltenham Gold Cups (1932-36) and the Grand National (1934), the only horse to win England’s two greatest steeplechases in the same season, sold for 120 guineas in October 1928 by Laurence Geraghty (having been walked the 25 miles to Ballsbridge from his owner’s Co Meath farm). Hattons Grace – the first triple winner of the Champion Hurdle (1949 -1951). He was the ultimate “Ballsbridge bargain”, bought for 18gns as a yearling in 1941.
