At Labelexpo Europe 2019 Nilpeter launched its 17-inch-wide FA-Line press featuring cold foil, lami- nation and its new high-speed semi-rotary die-cutting unit; BOBST unveiled its new hybrid flexo press; and OMET launched its new X7, a flexo printing machine for labels and flexible packaging with 26-inch web width and the latest in its XFlex line. DuPont Advanced Printing (DuPont) celebrated the installation of its 1500th DuPont Cyrel FAST thermal flexographic plate processing system.The current gener- ation of Cyrel FAST systems now have one of the most advanced emissions systems available, according to the company,reducingVOCs by more than 98 percent versus solvent-based systems and providing emissions far below even the most stringent environmental regulations. Fortis Solutions Group LLC expanded its national network of manufacturing facilities with a new loca- tion in Napa, California, to provide pressure sensitive labels to the wine, craft beer and spirits industries.The Napa facility features in-house plate making, digital off- set and flexographic printing processes, and specialty secondary finishing options. PPC Flexible Packaging LLC , Buffalo Grove, Illi- nois, a provider of custom flexible packaging, acquired McKinney, Texas–based Popular Ink, LLC . Popular Ink was the fifth acquisition of specialty and differenti- ated flexible packaging firms by PPC. Previous acquisi- tions include Fisher Container and Packaging Products Corporation in 2017,Temkin International in 2018 and HFM Packaging in 2019. General Data Company, Inc. , Cincinnati, Ohio, installed a new 13-inch FB-Line press from Nilpeter adding further options and capabilities to its portfolio of specialized medical products.
