EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ADVANCEMENTS NEW

Stepping Up Her Game Executive Director Tracy Lim knew it was time to step up her game when she found herself rooted at Senior Director 8 for 14 months. A former accountant and MLM member, Tracy knew how amazing building a Melaleuca business has been for her, and she was unwilling to let things slide. “In March this year, I attended a training conducted by Taiwan’s Corporate Director James Wu and Executive Director 9 Vincent Lin, who both had a personal coaching session with me on the challenges that I was facing,” Tracy says, explaining that this session triggered her to change in order to move her Melaleuca business forward. “I learned to broaden my mindset and not pre-judge people. My previous perception was that the rich will not be interested to build the business, but I was wrong. Anyone can build the business, and the difference lies in their ‘WHY’,” Tracy explains. To break through the funk, Tracy first steered her focus on leadership development to develop more Directors. For her existing business builders, she increased activities such as meetings, weekly product trainings, mentoring sessions and home parties. This was to keep them inspired and engaged, and served as frequent reminders on their purpose of building the Melaleuca business. Tracy also created smaller teams for her business builders as she felt that it was more personalized and she was able to provide them better support that way. She holds goal-setting and strategy sessions with her teams at the beginning of every month. “I found that smaller teams worked better for my organization. It was more effective as there was more contact time with each business builder,” Tracy says. At her teams’ strategy sessions, she also goes through their individual business reports in order to analyze their strengths and weaknesses, and provide or brainstorm for solutions to help them overcome their challenges. “The focus was on identifying opportunities to improve. For example, if my business builders show a low percentage of appointments set, it means they need to improve their approaches, and this would call for more trainings to develop their appointment setting skills and increase their confidence level,” Tracy discloses. Tracy stresses that positivity is crucial, and that many existing business builders may occasionally require fine-tuning in terms of their mindset. “Many of them have goals but, over time, lack the basic activities which are needed to move their business forward. And so, I frequently emphasize the importance of daily personal activities, remind them on their “WHY” and encourage them to keep progressing. The path to success is never easy, but persevere and you will achieve it,” she says. Tracy emphasizes the same for her new business builders–the importance of their personal activities. She coaches them how to add new names to their contact list daily. As it is important for new business builders to build their knowledge, she also conducts weekly product sessions covering all product categories so that they’re well- versed in what Melaleuca offers. She ensures her business builders know how to present the Preferred Customer benefits to potentials, and also guides them on a path to reach Director 3 in ninety days. Although she focused on developing leadership in her business, Tracy kept her own personal activities in check as well. The product training sessions she has with her teams also helps to refresh her product knowledge, and she says this contributes to a higher average product points per customer of above 50. Tracy shares, “For me, the Delivering Wellness™ presentation booklet is also a must as it offers guides and tips on how to make an effective presentation. Effective overviews often lead to quality enrollments, which contributes to my high reorder rate of an average 93% each month. Isn’t that incredible?”, continuing to say that effective presentations also increased the number of Home Conversion Pack purchases and Lifetime VIP members in her business. Following Convention 2017, she developed 4 new personal

Directors. Not only that, her organization Preferred Customers also increased by 306 customers and organization Directors increased by 25, bringing it to a total of 1,045 customers and 52 organization Directors respectively in August. Best of all, with all the changes she implemented, Tracy managed to do away with the 14-month blight and advanced to Executive Director in August. “Convention 2017 motivated me to keep building the business as we can see many successful people from all walks of life,” she shares. Tracy also attributed her breakthrough to consistency in carrying out the 7 Critical Business Building Activities. “It is nothing new as the only way to succeed is none other than the 7 Critical Activities, with the focus on Critical Activities 1 to 3. This is proven–all successful Melaleuca leaders are doing the same,” Tracy observes, sharing her key takeaway from the Standing Senior Leadership 2017, where Executive Director 9 Eric Toh also inspired her to reinforce her goal of 4+1 each month. “I knew if I want to be successful like him, I will have to increase my personal activities,” Tracy declares. Emulating Eric, Tracy is motivated to keep developing her Melaleuca business for her family. With the residual income from Melaleuca, she is able to clear off housing and car loan debts, and also set up an overseas tertiary education fund for her two children. A former MLM member, Tracy says that developing her Melaleuca business has given her peace of mind as compared to when she was involved in MLM. “The 96% re-order rate means we’re able to see real residual income and the 60-day satisfaction guarantee is a risk-free offer. There’s no need to worry on sales quota and such,” Tracy explains. “Melaleuca has enhanced my life in so many ways. My children hardly fall sick now that our home is converted to Melaleuca’s safer products. I feel and look good with a less stressful life, and find that I’m more energetic with the help of NutraGene, Vitality 6™ and TriplexJuice,” Tracy comments, while sharing that her mother, who is diabetic and was a bypass patient, is more energetic and has her blood sugar level controlled now that she’s consuming Melaleuca products. With such amazing experiences, Tracy finds purpose and fulfillment in spreading wellness to people around her, and helping them improve their life, be it physically or financially. This year, Tracy targets to advance to Executive Director 2 and help three business builders reach Senior Director. She believes she will be able to reach the goals set, saying, “You create your own reality!”
