Kemudian, pada Februari 2017, saya bertemu Pengarah Eksekutif 8 Christina Thian, yang berkongsi dengan saya tentang Melaleuca,” kata Eric, yang mendaftarkan diri dengan serta-merta. “Model perniagaan Melaleuca adalah sejajar dengan aliran pengguna semasa dan yang paling penting saya tidak perlu melabur apa-apa modal untuk memulakan perniagaan Melaleuca. Ia dapat memberikan pendapatan berterusan yang saya cari, dan dalam proses tersebut, saya juga boleh membina warisan untuk anak saya.” Usaha kerja keras dan konsistensi Eric dalam membina perniagaan Melaleucanya terbukti ketika beliau mara ke status Pengarah 2 pada Mac 2017, bulan pertamanya di Melaleuca, dan kemudiannya terus mara hingga ke statusnya sekarang apabila menjadi Pengarah Kanan 4 pada bulan Julai. Di samping itu, beliau juga membangunkan dua orang Pengarah Kanan yang baru pada bulan yang sama–Pengarah Kanan 2 Shawn Lee dan Pengarah Kanan 3 Cindy Wong. Hasilnya, beliau menerima komisen sebanyak RM70,276.93. Sesungguhnya ia adalah pencapaian yang hebat! “Apa yang benar-benar penting adalah konsistensi dalam menjalankan Aktiviti Kritikal harian anda,” kata Eric, yang menetapkan matlamat untuk membuat 20 panggilan seminggu dan menjadualkan satu janji temu sehari. Eric mengakui bahawa menguruskan masa di antara perniagaan logistiknya dan perniagaan Melaleuca kadang-kala boleh menjadi rumit. Tetapi beliau mengimbangkan kedua-duanya dengan merancang lebih awal dan bekerjasama dengan rapat bersama pasukan sokongannya. “Kami saling membantu untuk janji temu, dan ia banyak membantu ketika saya tidak dapat melakukannya kerana pasukan sokongan saya ada untuk membantu saya dengan janji temu itu,” katanya, memastikan bahawa beliau bergerak maju dan tidak membiarkan kekangan masanya menghalang beliau. “Saya melihat perniagaan Melaleuca saya sama seperti menjalankan maraton, di mana kesabaran dan konsistensi diperlukan. “What is really important is the consistency in carrying out your daily Critical Activities,” says Eric, who set a goal of making 20 calls a week and schedule one appointment daily. Eric acknowledges that managing time between his logistic business and the Melaleuca business can be tricky at times. But he works around it by planning ahead and working very closely with his support team. “We tag team on appointments, and it helps a great deal when I’m unable to make it because my support team is there to support me with that appointment,” he says, ensuring that he moves forward and not letting his time constraint deter him. “I see my Melaleuca business similar to running a marathon, where patience and consistency are necessary. My goal, when I decided to build the business, was to generate a recurring residual income and I stay focused by reminding myself of it consistently,” Eric explains. “The additional income will definitely help with the costs of expanding my traditional business, and at the same time I am building a legacy for my son.” Although Melaleuca is his secondary business, Eric draws immense satisfaction from how the business has enhanced his life, not only financially but physically as well. As an owner of a logistic and trading business, Eric Ng knows all too well that a traditional business will never be able to provide sustainable residual income and as such, was looking for a Plan B. “My friends and I were brainstorming for new business ideas, and we initially talked about an online business but didn’t pursue further as it requires a substantial amount of capital. Then, in February 2017, I met Executive Director 8 Christina Thian, who shared with me about Melaleuca,” says Eric, who enrolled immediately. “Melaleuca’s business model is in line with the current consumer trend and most importantly I do not need to invest any capital to start a Melaleuca business. It would be able to provide the residual income I was looking for, and in the process, I can build a legacy for my son.” It was a testament to Eric’s hard work, effort and consistency in building his Melaleuca business when he advanced to Director 2 in March 2017, his first month at Melaleuca, and subsequently continuously advanced up until his current status of Senior Director 4 in July. In addition, that July also saw him developing two new Senior Directors–Senior Director 2 Shawn Lee and Senior Director 3 Cindy Wong. As a result, he received a commission of RM70,276.93 in that month itself. Truly a great achievement!
