Community Happenings Autumn
Getting out and about We were out and about a great deal this autumn, and every outing was one to remember. March took us to Bellmere Strawberry Farm for a lovely morning tea with fresh refreshments and good company. We also visited a childcare centre in Rothwell, where spending time with the children lifted everyone’s spirits. One resident’s daughter joined us on the day, which made it all the more special. Later in March we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon country bus trip, taking in the scenery and sharing the ride together. April brought a community walk to Woolworths, picking up afternoon tea items and groceries together. It was a simple outing but a genuinely lovely one, with gentle exercise, fresh air, and plenty of good conversation along the way. We also headed out to the Lookout Cafe for morning tea on a bus trip that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. In May, another scenic bus trip, a walk to the shops with a stop at a local cafe, and more visits from the kindy children rounded out a quarter full of adventures beyond our front door.
A milestone birthday One of the most joyful moments of the entire quarter came when one of our dearest residents celebrated her 100th birthday. Surrounded by family, staff, and fellow residents, it was a day full of love and laughter, and we were so glad to be part of it.
