Tell us about Ledburn Cables Ledburn Cables was founded over 20 years ago and is a cable distribution business based in Dublin which exclusively supplies the electrical wholesale industry. We are a customer- focused business priding ourselves on best-in-class service and product quality. We have the best product offering in the market, from data, power and alarm to signal and coaxial cables. We offer nationwide next-day delivery and a collection service from 7am to 5pm. How did you secure Univolt distribution? I have been interested in Univolt for quite some time and, when it became available for the Irish market, it was a no-brainer for us. Our values as a company are aligned and we have already formed a very strong relationship with Univolt. We had been looking to diversify our product and containment range, and it was naturally a good fit. There’s no doubting Univolt’s product quality; it’s the best in the market without question. What are your future plans? We have expanded the business over the last two to three years and taken on additional staff and warehouse space as a result. We are now diversifying to offer an even bigger product range to our customers. My ambition is to keep developing our product ranges and continue growing over the next 5-10 years. Ledburn Cables has been built on service and product offering over the last 20 years and this will not stop as we develop and grow. Tell us about Ledburn’s two dedicated Univolt team members Alison Walsh came in to head up Univolt for us; she has industry and PVC cable management experience and has been a great addition to the team. Evan Clarke is with the company since 2025 and will be assisting Alison in growing this product range for us. To protect our current business and grow a new division, it is vital to have a dedicated team for both product categories. We will also be focusing on back selling into the wholesale market by creating demand for Univolt through work with consultant engineers. How are your customers responding to the new Univolt partnership? It’s been great, we are already seeing strong uptake. Customers know and like the product, and trust in the service and back up we have been providing for 20 years.
