Experience developing and leading implementation of procedures to achieve improved environmental performance Experience of leading a programme of initiatives to drive organisational improvements in sustainability. Experience of leading an Environmental Management System, and developing it to achieve strategic sustainability goals. Understanding of local and global sustainability trends, and ability to act on this to develop appropriate organisational strategy, managing risks and taking advantage of opportunities. Understanding of applicable environmental regulation, and experience of managing organisational regulatory compliance.

Experience of delivering customer services that meet and exceed expectations whilst enhancing environmental impacts. Experience leading sustainability engagement and training programmes to raise awareness and improve environmental outcomes.

Communication Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent command of English (written and verbal).

Ability to effectively communicate complex information to non-specialists and to a wide range of stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for sustainability at LSE to internal and external stakeholders. Experience reporting on performance to senior management and governance, orally and in writing, including via formal committees. Ability to gain buy-in for sustainability projects from a range of stakeholders, managing competing priorities to deliver agreed objectives.
