This year we will be selling 40 lots of registered Angus females, which consist of Spring calving pairs, Fall calving pairs, bred heifers and open heifers. There is something for everyone, no matter what time of year your personal preference is for calving. The twenty-eighth annual version of the Southwest Virginia Angus Performance Tested Spring Bull sale follows the females. These are performance bulls that will put pounds on your calves. They were all fed as a group at G&E Farm in Gretna, VA. They were weighed off test on 3/6/26 and evaluated by a VDACS State Grader. This is a top- notch set of bulls; they averaged 3.95 gain on test and their average 365 day adjusted weight is 1198 lbs. All of the bulls qualified under the Virginia Quality Assurance program and are designated with a VQA symbol underneath the EPDs. Negative BVD PI test at delivery on all bulls. Look for additional information on the bulls on page 28. The sale starts at 12 noon with the females selling first. You are welcome to come by on Friday, April 24th in the afternoon or on Saturday morning prior to the sale to evaluate the cattle being offered for sale. All animals selling in this sale either have no carrier ancestry or have tested AM, CA and/or NH free. We are also on the web at swvaangus.org. I encourage you to study the pedigrees and performance information on these cattle. Many selling are sired by some of the most proven bulls available in the breed. The consignors of these cattle offered in this sale have been in business for a number of years. They are offering some of their best genetics from which you may select. The EPD’s and pedigrees, along with individual performance, will assist you in making your selections. As with our previous sales, if you do not feel comfortable attending in person, we would like to remind you that the sale will also be streamed live on DVAuction.com where your bids will be received in real time.
