La mise à jour se fera en quatre phases et par l’entremise d’entrevues et de consulta- tions publiques régionales auxquelles les intéressés sont invités. Elles se tiendront le mardi 6 mai à Rockland (Académie canadienne et inter- nationale de hockey) de 16h à 19h, le mer- credi 7 mai à L’Orignal (Salle du Conseil des Comtés unis de Prescott et Russell) de 7h à 9h, le mercredi 7 mai à Plantagenet (Salle communautaire) de 19h à 21h pour le sec- teur tourisme et le jeudi 8 mai à La Nation

Easter break-in Constable John Léger of the Hawkesbury Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment is investigating a burglary that occurred during the Easter weekend at a Cartier Bou- levard, Hawkesbury residence. Someone had gained access between April 18 and 22 and stole several electronic items, money and medication. The thieves also ransacked the place, causing extensive damage to the inside of the house. The Hawkesbury OPP Crime Unit and the OPP Identification Unit assisted in the investigation. Anyone with information can contact Detective-Constable Steve Hamel or Constable John Léger at the Hawkesbury OPP at 613-632-2729 or 1-888-310-1122. Truck “keyed” The Hawkesbury OPP detachment is investigating a case of vandalism after a vehicle that was parked on Geneviève Street in Hawkesbury was damaged. The investigation revealed that someone“keyed”a 2003 GMC pick-up truck sometime between the night of April 23 and the afternoon of April 25. Officers are also looking into an incident of vandalism on a vehicle that occurred at a Cécile Boulevard residence between James Street and Cartier Boulevard in Hawkes- bury. Someone threw rocks at a 2007 Ford Mustang from the train tracks area near the parking lot. The incident occurred sometime between the evening of April 22 and the morning of April 23. Impaired driving charges On April 24, at about 11:30 p.m., Hawkesbury OPP officers received a tip from the S û reté du Québec that a possibly impaired motorcyclist had just left a bar in Grenville and was headed towards Hawkesbury. Constable John Léger intercepted the suspect vehicle at the intersection of Du Chenail Boulevard and John Street. Stéphane L étour- neau , 43, of Hawkesbury, was charged with impaired driving and driving while his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit, as well as driving without a licence or a permit. He was later released on a promise to appear in court May 24 in L’Orignal. His motorcycle was seized and impounded for seven days. On April 25, shortly after 2 a.m., Constable Marc Lauzon intercepted a 2002 Chevrolet Impala at the intersection of Race Street and Du Chenail Boulevard in Hawkesbury. Keith Charles Bigras, 29, of Champlain Township, was charged with driving while his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit. He was later released on a promise to appear in court in L’Orignal at a future date.
