For a dazzling smile

Championship season for the Ice Dogs

Would you love to have a dazzling smile? Here are three of the most common tooth- whitening methods. 1. After a consultation with your dentist, you will be given thermoformed trays (custom made for your teeth) and a whitening gel. At home, put the gel in the trays and wear them for one to two hours per day. The treatment will last anywhere from a few days to two weeks, depending on the original colour of your teeth. 2. At the dental clinic, the specialist first covers your gums with a resin or a rubber sheet. He or she then applies an oxidizing agent to your teeth; this gel is left on for a few

minutes or is activated with a halogen light. A minimum of two sessions is usually required for a dazzling smile. 3. Laser or infrared tooth whitening is the most effective technique; one session is usually enough for gleaming white teeth. The use of extremely powerful lights facilitates the passage of the whitening gel through the enamel to the stained dentin below. Because the bleaching agent must never touch your skin, the dentist covers your gums with a resin and applies a barrier cream to your mucous membranes and lips. Ask your dental care professional about the bleaching technique that will give you the smile you’ve always wanted.
