Figure 02-39: Mobility Innovation Zone and EV Charging Stations Fort Worth is establishing itself as a leader in transportation innova- tion, utilizing advanced technologies and forward-thinking solutions to enhance mobility, improve traffic efficiency, and support sustainable transportation options. As shown in the Figure 02-39 , Fort Worth is implementing key initiatives that position the city at the forefront of modern transportation.

• Advanced Traffic Management : Fort Worth has introduced real- time traffic monitoring and adaptive signal systems through its Traffic Management Center. This system allows the city to monitor traffic patterns continuously and make immediate adjustments to traffic signals, reducing congestion and improving travel times. Advanced traffic management helps to create a smoother, more efficient transportation experience for residents and commuters alike. • I nnovation in Mobility : The Alliance Mobility Innovation Zone (high- lighted in the figure) serves as a testing ground for cutting-edge mobility technologies. Within this zone, Fort Worth is exploring and supporting the deployment of autonomous vehicles, drone deliv- eries, and alternative energy sources like hydrogen fuel cells. These innovations represent Fort Worth’s commitment to embracing new technology to improve connectivity, enhance logistical efficiency, and contribute to regional economic development. • Cleaner Transportation: Fort Worth is also expanding its network of EV (electric vehicle) charging stations across the city, as illus- trated in the map.
