ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION Bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure is a crucial component of an equitable trans- portation system, providing residents with safe, accessible options for short trips and connections to other modes of transit. Enhancing these networks enables people of all ages, abilities, and income levels to move independently throughout the city, reducing dependence on cars and offering a more affordable and environmentally friendly transportation choice. Expanding the frequency and reach of these routes would further enhance accessibility, making Fort Worth’s transportation system more inclusive and responsive to the needs of its disadvantaged populations.
