Target Setting Methodology: Based on peer city reviews, it is recommended that the city set the pavement condition goal to 90 percent of streets being in fair to excellent condition. To more efficiently maintain and upgrade existing systems and proactively plan for the maintenance and upkeep of new assets, it is also recommended that an annual target is set each year based on resources available for maintenance of the street network and rehabilitation or replacement of poor and failed streets. Baseline Methodology: TxDOT classified bridge structural conditions as failure, critical, serious, poor, fair, satisfactory, good, very good, and excellent. This measure tracks the percentage of bridges in Fort Worth that are in or above fair condition (all primary structural elements are sound but may have minor section loss, cracking, spalling, or scour). 2050 Target: 90 percent of bridges are in fair to excellent condition Target Setting Methodology: Based on peer city reviews and alignment with state goals, it is recommended that the city set the bridge structure condition goal to 90 percent of major bridges being in fair to excellent condition. Baseline Methodology: The percentage of missing or poor condition sidewalks measures the quality of the city’s infrastructure dedicated to pedestrians. The percentage is calculated by dividing the length of sidewalks that score 25 or -1 in the city’s pavement condition data by the total length of sidewalk in Fort Worth.
