As past transportation projects and revenues were city wide and spread among the districts, an objective for the forecast was to align the associated revenues and past project types with the Streets and Mobility Infrastructure Improvements categories. The categorization of funding was undertaken using the same 2026 bond program categories of Bridges, Major Roadways, Mobility, Neighborhood Streets, Railroad, and Vision Zero.
The categories consolidate the 2022 bond categories as defined in the following table.
Table 10: 2022 and 2026 Bond Program Categories for Streets and Mobility Infrastructure Improvements Previous Category (2022 Bond) Current Category (2026 Bond) Consolidation Logic / Notes Arterials Major Roadways
Previously limited to arterials; now expanded to also include major collectors, hence the broader “Major Roadways” title. Consolidated under “Mobility,” which now includes intersections, signals, streetlights, and traffic operations. Merged into “Mobility” for integrated corridor and safety improvements.
