PROJECT PURPOSE Amon-Carter Blvd Extension will be a new 4-lane divided roadway between N Great Southwest Pkwy and Trinity Blvd. Proposed improvements include an elevated roadway section and an at-grade roadway section. These upgrades are intended to enhance connectivity and access, and support growth. PROJECT DRIVERS
Development activity in the area, including Preliminary Plats and Community Facilities Agreements (CFA). Serves local traffic CentrePort/DFW Airport Station (located on Statler Blvd) and residential and office and industrial sites. This also improves emergency response teams accessing the south end of the project. Connects to the new Trinity BLVD Road corridor to the south, creating access to S.H.360 and I30, connecting Fort Worth and Grand Prairie. Anticipated traffic growth and safety concerns support the need for proactive improvements.
