PROJECT PURPOSE W Risinger Road will be widened and reconstructed from a two-lane undivided roadway to a four-lane divided facility between Hemphill Street and Crowley Road. These improvements will enhance safety, reduce congestion, and address recurring flooding issues in one of Fort Worth’s fastest-developing areas. The project includes a 1,050-foot culverts spanning the FEMA floodplain, improving storm resilience and maintain critical east–west connectivity. PROJECT COSTS Estimated Project Delivery Cost $24 million
Eliminates flood-related roadway closures through a roadway section designed considering the FEMA floodplain. Connects to Commercial Connectors like Crowley Road and Hemphill Street and serves as a System Link for the City of Fort Worth. Supports residential, commercial, and industrial access to I-35W, less than one mile east of the project. Improves traffic flow and safety for residents, school traffic, and industrial users accessing the corridor. Provides new shared-use paths (SUPs) on both sides, improving pedestrian and cyclist comfort and safety.
